VFPA to appear before Regional Housing Inquiry on Monday in Colac

The Victorian Forest Products Association (VFPA) will appear before the Parliamentary Inquiry into the Supply of Housing in Regional Victoria on Monday in Colac, advocating for the critical role of timber in addressing the state’s housing needs.

As demand for regional housing continues to grow, the availability of locally sourced plantation timber is essential to ensuring an affordable, sustainable, and reliable supply of construction materials. The VFPA will highlight the challenges facing the industry—including supply constraints, regulatory barriers, and investment uncertainty—while emphasizing the solutions that forestry can offer to meet Victoria’s housing needs.

This is a key opportunity to reinforce the message that a strong, secure timber industry is vital to building more homes in regional Victoria.

Stay tuned for updates following the VFPA’s appearance at the inquiry.
