Green Triangle Timber Industry Awards celebrate the best of forestry

The Green Triangle Timber Industry Awards (GTTIA) has recognised the best in forestry. The 2023 event, held on Friday 27 October at Mount Gambier, had been highly anticipated by all in the sector and honoured outstanding contributions across a range of award categories.

The annual event is a platform to showcase the industry’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and environmentally friendly practices. It’s a testament to the dedication and efforts of the industry in shaping a greener and more responsible future.

Victorian Forest Products Association Deb Kerr congratulated the winners and said she was honoured to be part of this year’s judging panel.

“While it made my job on the panel harder, we are very fortunate to have such a strong number of nominees in the region. I congratulate the very deserving winners and those highly who received highly commended awards,” Ms Kerr said.

“I also want to thank and acknowledge the efforts of the GTTIA Committee, notably chair Adrian Flowers and event manager Gaylene Newton, along with my fellow judges Nathan Paine, and Phil Howe, and the Panel’s supporting expert Paul Hartong,” Ms Kerr concluded.

The awards categories ranged from safety excellence over environment and sustainability, operations, logistics and processing as well as individual awards, along with the prestigious Timber Legends award. A list of all winners, awards categories and nominees can be found here.
